FOXO believes that the
following strategies are essential if we are to truly reintegrate
ex-offenders into the community.
Create a real partnership between the reintegrated offender and the
community that they are a part of. Let the offender know that they are a
part of the community and not apart from the community.
Develop focus groups that allow the reintegrated offenders to have a real
voice and input in the output of society's expectations of their social
conformity through behavioral modification.
Establish and promote a resource center to provide needs assessment,
resources and other immediate essentials to deter recidivism thus reducing
the recidivist rate.
Advocate and establish education centers to begin the education and/or
re-education of ex-offenders. Education should include skills necessary to
advance in today's age of technology.
Educate and train ex-offenders to become agents of change for youth that
would otherwise pursue a life of crime as a survival mechanism.
Provide venues for ex-offenders to describe their experiences and journey
into a life of pain, despair, loneliness and crime.
Provide support groups for self-disclosure and dialogue with other
ex-offenders who have changed their direction and thus their circumstances
and vision.
Provide for employment opportunities for the ex-offenders that allow them
to become viable productive members of society and increase their value as
assets to their communities and their people.
Provide opportunities for the ex-offenders to be an integral part in
turning our communities around by allowing them to provide education on
crime, crime prevention and deterrence to the communities, schools and
PTOs that they once targeted for crime using FOXO's concept that Proper
Education Always Corrects Errors (PEACE).
